“แรงบันดาลใจเกิดจากความรักในมวยไทย

ผสมผสานกับวิชาการปั้นตุ๊กตาชาววังที่ได้รับการถ่ายทอดจากแม่”

จุดเริ่มต้น เริ่มปั้นตุ๊กตาตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ.๒๕๓๕ โดยทำจากดินเผา แต่มีปัญหาแตกหักง่ายและไม่สะดวกในการขนย้ายระหว่างเดินทาง เลยเปลี่ยนวัสดุเป็น “เรซิน” แทนเพราะแข็งแรงกว่า แล้วลงสีให้เหมือนกับสีของดินเผา เพราะต้องการรักษาความรู้สึกของการเป็นงานทำมือไว้ โดยแม่ไม้มวยไทยมีและมวยไทยโบราณมีหลายท่า มีแบบที่ปั้นแล้ว ประมาณ ๒๐ ท่า หลายท่าเป็นศิลปะการต่อสู้ที่หาชมไม่ได้แล้วจากการแข่งขันจริงๆ ตุ๊กตามวยไทยจึงเป็นเหมือนอีกหนึ่งบทบันทึกในการถ่ายทอดศิลปะในอดีตมาให้คนรุ่นใหม่และต่างชาติได้รู้จัก โดยเขามีความฝันว่า จะพยายามศึกษาและปั้นแม่ไม้มวยไทยออกมาให้ได้ครบถ้วนทุกท่า โดยส่วนใหญ่จะมีร้านค้ารับไปขาย อีกทั้งทำตามคำสั่งซื้อ กลุ่มลูกค้าส่วนใหญ่เป็นคนไทย นำไปมอบเป็นของที่ระลึกให้ชาวต่างชาติในวาระต่างๆ รวมถึงร้านอาหารไทยในต่างแดนนำไปตกแต่งร้านและไม่นานมานี้ ได้รับคำสั่งซื้อจากต่างชาติด้วย อาทิจาก โรมาเนีย ออสเตรเลีย สหรัฐอเมริกา

อยู่ที่ความถูกต้องในท่วงท่าของแม่ไม้มวยไทยซึ่งมาจากการศึกษาอย่างจริงจังจากประวัติศาสตร์มวยไทย และได้รับคำแนะนำของครูมวยไทย รวมถึงเน้นเรื่องกายวิภาคให้ดูสมบูรณ์แบบ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นรายละเอียดโครงสร้างร่างกาย กล้ามเนื้อ เส้นเลือด และอารมณ์ใบหน้า

The Beginning of Muay Thai Figurine Crafting

The journey began in 1992 (B.E. 2535) with the creation of handcrafted Muay Thai figurines made from clay. However, due to their fragility and the inconvenience of transportation, the material was later switched to resin, which provided greater durability. To maintain the handcrafted aesthetic, the figurines were painted to resemble the original clay texture.

Muay Thai consists of numerous Mae Mai Muay Thai (fundamental techniques) and Muay Boran (ancient Thai boxing) movements, many of which are rarely seen in modern competitive matches. Currently, around 20 different postures have been sculpted, preserving historical combat techniques that might otherwise fade from public knowledge. These Muay Thai figurines serve as a tangible archive, introducing traditional martial arts to younger generations and international audiences.

Driven by a deep passion for Muay Thai, the artist aspires to document and sculpt every traditional technique in its entirety. Most of the figurines are sold through retail stores or made to order. The primary customers are Thai individuals who purchase them as souvenirs for foreigners on special occasions. Additionally, Thai restaurants abroad use these figurines for decorative purposes. Recently, the figurines have also gained international interest, with orders coming from countries such as Romania, Australia, and the United States.

The distinction of Muay Thai figurines lies in the accuracy of Mae Mai Muay Thai (fundamental techniques), which are meticulously crafted based on in-depth historical research and guidance from experienced Muay Thai masters. Additionally, great emphasis is placed on anatomical precision, ensuring that each figurine authentically represents the body structure, muscle definition, veins, and facial expressions, capturing the essence of traditional Muay Thai in its most lifelike and dynamic form.
